Line regulation is a characteristic that expresses the amount of “output voltage change in response to a change in the input voltage”.

It is ideal for a constant output voltage to be output regardless of the input voltage.

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS

PARAMETERSYMBOLCONDITIONSMIN.TYP.MAX.UNIT
Line RegulationΔVOUT/
(ΔVIN・VOUT)
VOUT(T)+2.0V≦VIN≦28.0V
IOUT=5mA
-0.050.10%/V

The example above shows a “simple increase” where when the input voltage increases, the output voltage also increases, but in practice the increase and decrease might not be monotonic.
